Language Courses
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your help organizing an English composition course designed specifically for our sales, marketing, and administrative employees.   We were very impressed with the professionalism and compassion the professor conveyed through her writing course.   I would highly recommend others that need a refresher in writing to invest in the course.”

Leadership and Sales Training
"The customized education that we have received from SCC, was just that, customized to meet our needs!  Not only did they meet our needs but they
provided instructors that meshed with our employees’, which made them more open to learning.  The pre-planning of our wants and needs paid off in
the long run.  We will continue to use the Center for Business and Industry."

Computer/IT Training
"Mark is an excellent instructor. He didn't simply go over the computer training; rather he applied interactive examples which kept the class completely interested. Also the staff at SCC is one of the most pleasant and helpful staffs I have ever encountered. I will definitely think of SCC FIRST for our future training needs and desires."

Emergency Preparedness
“The partnership between ISJ Regional Medical Center and SCC is invaluable,” states ISJ Chief Communications Director, Kevin Burns. “The training and guidance our staff received via the Emergency Preparedness Program at SCC has helped to prepare our organization and other health care entities in the region in the event of a disaster or crisis.”
“Ultimately, residents in and around the greater Mankato area will be better served because of the expertise and collaboration between ISJ and SCC,” explains Burns.

Crane Operator Certification
“It’s been very informative. I’ve learned a considerable amount more about cables, wire ropes, and load charts than I knew prior to coming to class. There is a lot of information to take in.”

Met-Con Construction Services, Faribault, MN

Safety Training
“If your company is looking for comprehensive safety training that is honest, factual, objective and affordable, you’ve just found it! SCC’s ability to personalize each and every training topic makes attendees truly sit up and listen. Their experience in the field of Safety makes all the difference. They make training sessions fun – and less of a burden.”

Customer Service
“Our company has employees in Minnesota and Massachusetts who benefit from the opportunity to interact with each other and the instructor at the same time. We have used SCC’s Center for Business and Industry experts to teach many topics for our Faribault location. When I spoke with Brian Knutson, SCC CBI Coordinator, about the possibility of interaction 1,500 miles away, we decided to put advanced technology to work. We did a Web search for colleges in the Boston area and made contact with a community college that was willing and able to connect SCC’s Video over IP link and provide physical space at their facility for the class. This was very exciting!”

Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aid
"Students who gain certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aid from South Central College are able to use their direct patient care skills in a variety of settings from hospitals, clinics, home care and long term care facilities.  These careers are in-demand and are rewarding for students."
Kim Mueller
Health Science Instructor

Motorcycle Basic Rider
After riding behind my husband for a number of years, I took the plunge and bought my own motorcycle.

I immediately signed up for a Basic Rider Course at South Central College and found that taking this class was the best way to learn how to ride.
If you have never ridden a motorcycle, relax and enjoy. The class emphasizes safety and teaches you shifting, maneuvers, braking and stopping.

I would highly recommend the class to anyone wanting to learn to ride a motorcycle.
